Spotlight on a finest mum
We love love love shining a light on fabulous, finest mums who are living life, shining bright and making a difference in their sphere of influence. There are so many out there, and we love finding, celebrating and then sharing them with you on our “Spotlight on” posts. We caught up recently with one of such mums, the fabulous Carmel Britto – The Mumpreneur who absolutely rocks. I love this tag line!
When ladies lunch
I had the pleasure of meeting Carmel about a year ago through a half-term Science club trip she was organising for children via Lpf Kiddies (one of her many ventures). My daughter participated in and learnt a lot through the programme, and from there I got to find out about the other things she’s involved in, and have followed with interest. She’s as passionate about building and developing strong foundation for children through education, as she is about supporting and advocating for women. The more I followed, the more I found out, so I just had to meet up with her for lunch. Needless to say, we had fun.
It’s lovely when you meet with and connect with others who have similar interests, viewpoints and motivations as you do. Technology wasn’t being kind to me on the day, so unfortunately we lost the main recording. Thankfully Carmel had a backup, so we were able to capture some of our interview for you. Carmel tells us a bit more about herself and her journey as a mumpreneur, she shares tips for mumpreneurs in the making. For the busy mums trying to successfully juggle it all she’s got tips for you too. She also answered our secret question (you’ll have to watch and see). It’s split into 3 parts, but all well worth watching and we hope you enjoy and glean useful tips from it.
