Hi lovelies. Welcome to another week, another quote.
Life is a Rollercoaster
One day you're up, the next you're down. Sometimes as a mum you don't even get days, the mood switches from moment to moment. Right now I'm trying to juggle several projects in addition to the daily grind of wife, mum, 9 - 5 employee, and it can be a struggle. A real struggle sometimes.
When I get the big wins - either I manage to keep the daily grind ticking along nicely without dropping anything, or reach a milestone and tick something off the list with the other projects, I feel like I'm floating on air. Sometimes it feels like those big win days are fewer and further between, and I get more days of things moving slower than I want, with the daily grind ending up a daily mess. It's life I know, it just seems a bit Aaaaarrrrrghhhhh! sometimes.
Tired of tired
I'm tired of tired. If I were to take a guess I would say you're tired too. So what should we do? The rollercoaster's not going anywhere. If anything the ride will get even bumpier, and with more twists and turns.
My suggestion is:
- Have your Aaaarrrrghhhh moment. It doesn't have to be too crazy, or uncivilised. Just enough to get it out of your system.
- Rest if you have to, give yourself a mental break or physical break. If you believe in God, this would be a good time to pray. One of my favourite verses for this is 1 Samuel 30:6 which ends with the words - ... but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
- Resolve not to give in. Remind yourself that you're amazing and unique, no one can do things like you. Remember the rollercoaster's not going anywhere, so you've got to get back in and ride. Are you going to ride it weeping the whole way, or with a fierce leather jacket on, your face looking on point and your arms up in the air like you just don't care?
Let's kick some ass this week.

Excellent point. Thank you for taking the time to read and also comment. Yes, you are right, that is why we have families. We definitely cannot underestimate the comfort, help and value we get from our loved ones to see us through the challenging rollercoaster moments.
