Happy Monday lovelies.
This week’s quote is short, but heartfelt, and one I hope after digesting will give you a great focus for the week ahead.
Practice what you sing
If you’re a church go-er, how many times have you sang these words? I’m guessing quite a few times. Sounds lovely, holy, and like the right kind of thing you should pray or sing if you love God. However what does it really mean in practice?
God being glorified in your life is you living in service of Him (what would Jesus do), for His pleasure, as unto Him not man, not for show, but for real.
How’re you doing?
Are you glorifying God in how you’re raising your children (how you speak to, discipline, motivate them)? Are you glorifying God in your business transactions and dealings (fulfilling your commitments on time and with quality, being respectful, fair as well as wise in how you deal with your suppliers and customers)? How about this one, are you glorifying God in how you deal with challenges and difficulties? Are you giving up too soon, lashing out without due and proper consideration of the situation, sinking your head in the sand or up in the clouds instead of reflecting, taking stock and addressing it in a positive way? Are you glorifying God in how you relate with your spouse? Are you glorifying God in how you look after yourself, what you put in as well as do to your body, mind, soul? Are you letting God guide you to His plan and purpose for your life or hoping/assuming He is in agreement with your plans?
Glorify Him today
Few words, but a lot to think about that my addressing of it today can’t fully cover. I will leave you with this too. This quote calls on us to live to glorify God, today. The commitment is a daily one. When you think on this today, today becomes everyday. That’s a lot of days! It’s a great comfort to remember that With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible, through Christ.. – Matthew 19:26.
I’m not doing so well on how I deal with challenges and difficulties so in addition to many areas of my life I will particularly focus on glorifying God in this area. Beautiful soul how will you glorify God in your life today, this week, forever?
